| If you can get over the cheesy
title, this new album of remixes is a treat for J.Lo fans. Most notably,
it contains the hugely popular "I'm Real" remix/collaboration
single with Ja Rule, which does not appear on any other albums. The
RJ Schoolyard Mix of "Love Don't Cost A Thing" (featuring
Fat Joe) and the Sack International Remix of "Play" are some
of the grooviest mixes on the disc, not too far from the coveted Neptunes
sound (producers who have made big hits for Britney Spears, Jay-Z and
many more), which seems to be all over the place right now. Ja Rule
and crew turn in another hip-hop remix of "Ain't It Funny,"
while J.Lo's ex-boyfriend P. Diddy does his Bad Boy remix of "Feelin'
So Good." Other tracks, such as "Walking On Sunshine,"
"Let's Get Loud" and "Waiting For Tonight," get
the typical upbeat disco/house/club-dance treatment. The album closes
with a new ballad, "Alive," a nice, dreamy, orchestral comedown
from all the dance tracks. Not all of the remixes on here are superb,
but the album will surely please J.Lo fans, if only for the Ja Rule
mixes and the excellent versions of "Love Don't Cost A Thing"
and "Play." I guess you've got to hand it to J.Lo, her managers
and record label for really knowing how to cash in when the time is
right. Milk it, baby, milk it. Mike
